Training for new and prospective Educational Visits Coordinators (EVCs).

Description

It is a requirement for all schools to have appointed an Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC). This training will enable new and prospective EVCs to understand their role. This course is for senior staff who are designated as their establishment‘s EVC, who will be trained to the required national standards and accredited as set out by the Outdoor Education Advisers Panel. They will also be familiarised with Norfolk and National Guidance and the effective use of Evolve - the internet-based notification and approval system

Outcomes

Following this course you will:
o Understand the role of the EVC
o Understand the roles and responsibility of the Local Authority in relation to Educational Visits
o Know how to access support
o Understand and follow the Local Authority's approval process
o Have an increased awareness of planning and risk management
o Have an introduction to EVOLVE
