What makes a greater depth writer at Key Stage 1? Hone your skills in spotting greater depth work and learn techniques for developing more able writers.
Demonstrating that a child has achieved a greater depth standard in writing can be challenging. This course will provide year 2 teachers with a sound understanding of the characteristics of writers working at greater depth and the confidence to develop their talents in school. Using relevant, engaging examples, delegates will understand the key features of work at greater depth. Delegates will be equipped to identify writing talent and be provided with planning and assessment tools they can use to unpick skills, engage and achieve success for all.
By the end of the course, participants will:
· Be confident in recognising work at greater depth in writing · Have a range of techniques to generate opportunities for pupils to demonstrate required skills · Have a range of teaching and planning strategies to use in their own schools.
