Championing Inclusion

• The Norfolk Steps Team provides training and consultancy to schools and services to support a therapeutic ethos, early intervention and professional responses to complex, challenging or high risk behaviours. The Norfolk Steps team has extensive SEN and Inclusion experience and an established reputation for providing inspirational training and knowledgeable, supportive consultancy.

• The Norfolk Steps team can provide training within your own service or through professional development inset.

• Schools and settings that maintain certification in the ‘Step On’ package can seek further help and advice based on audited need to reduce the need for Restrictive Physical Intervention (RPI) and where RPI is needed work to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

• As well as training directly related to the Steps product the team has used its extensive experience to provide additional bespoke consultancy and training on SEND and child and adult wellbeing .

• Tutor training is available for services who wish to have in house expertise to deliver training to the staff or support the Norfolk Steps process. A shortened Step On Only tutors course is available from 2015 for services with no audited need for RPI.

• Norfolk Steps is part of a family of behaviour management training packages available to local authorities and multi-academy trusts across the UK. The Steps package is owned by Educator Solutions, Norfolk County Council and is able to grant licences to other authorities wishing to use the approach.
